Memorial Day Weekend Events You Shouldn’t Miss in Monterey

Monterey Day Weekend is just around the corner and everyone is just so excited for this year’s line-up of fun activities and endless surprises.
Happening this May 25-28, 2018, Memorial Day Weekend promises its attendees for the event to be bigger and merrier than ever. 
The 3-day weekend event starts with an all-out music and entertainment with performances from Iration, Rebelution, 311 and many more. This California Roots Music and Arts Festival is loaded with reggae acts that will surely give you good vibes. This event is happening from Friday to Sunday at 2005 Fairgrounds Road, Monterey. Day passes start at $10.
Heads up, theater lovers. The most acclaimed and most controversial play by David Harrower, Blackbird is having its 3-night only show at Golden Bough Playhouse in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Catch Blackbird from 7:30-9:30pm and discover why The New York Times dubbed Blackbird as “theater at its most elemental”.
Memorial Day Weekend is loaded with lots of free events for families to enjoy. The Monterey Bay Meditation Studio will be having a Sensory Beach Walk from 1:30-2:30pm. Catch Razzvio, violinist and songwriter as he performs live using her custom 6-string electric violin. This free event is happening at 8940 Carmel Valley Rd., Carmel. 
If you are up for a serious entertainment with gate fees, there are also events for you. Head to Henry Miller LAB at the Barnyard and celebrate Bob Dylan’s birthday with cover songs from the performers. Ticket price is $20. Vocalist Raechel Williams and pianist Michael Martinez are also performing in the event. Catch them at Suite G-23, Carmel. Watch Taylor Rae live as she performs soul and indie pop jams at Folktale Winery on Carmel Valley Road from 4:30-7:30pm.
Enjoy a free walking tour at the Asilomar Conference Grounds. This 75-minute hike will take you to a peaceful environment in a unique and natural setting.
