4th of July Festivities in Monterey You Shouldn’t Miss


Who doesn't love to celebrate holidays especially if the holiday is about independence? 4th of July or July 4th to others is one of the most celebrated holidays in the United States. It is the anniversary of the publication of the declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776. Independence Day is usually celebrated with fireworks, barbeque, concerts, and fairs. Monterey Bay is one with the celebration of Independence Day. Each place here has its own Independence Day celebrations and merry-making festivities. Celebrate Independence Day at Monterey, Seaside, Pacific Grove and Carmel-by-the-Sea.
 
Carmel-by-the-Sea
 
Davendorf Park on Ocean Avenue is usually packed with people excited to celebrate the 4th of July. People go here as early as 12 noon so they can start the party early. There are lots of fun games, good music, and yummy food choices in the area. Pacific Grove
 
Head on to Caledonia Park this 4th of July for a day filled with fun and lots of food tasting. Don’t you just love the endless BBQ party plus the baked beans, garlic bread, salads, and desserts — staples in every Independence Day parties.  Let’s not forget the live entertainment to perk up the celebration. Party starts at 11am to 3pm. 
 
Seaside
 
The party starts at 4:30pm with different fun family activities like carnival games, arts and crafts, food and live music from the invited guests. And what is Independence Day celebration without fireworks? Adding to the glitter and color of the 4th of July celebration is an impressive fireworks display.
 
Monterey
 
Monterey has lined-up a series of events solely for the Independence Day celebration.  The party starts at 7am with the ever famous Independence Day activity in Pacifica, Pancake breakfast. Head on to Alvarado and Calle Principal early to get the best spot for the 4th of July Parade which starts at 10am. Expect The Colton Hall on Pacific Street to be crowded with people after the parade because this is where the real party starts. There are non-stop live music and entertainment, food kiosks, carnival games, face painting and a whole lot more.
